Earn your degree at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) through our Extended Academic Programs (EAP).  We have designed programs to make education affordable, accessible and attainable for adult learners.  Reap the benefits of a quality education with no undergraduate application fee, reduced tuition and free textbooks for all undergraduates.

You also have your choice of formats that work for you. In the Virtual University you complete your degree completely online.  If you enjoy a classroom setting, try one of our convenient Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCaP) centers.

We now offer daytime blended learning! ADCaP classes meet one day per week and complete additional assignments online.  See the course schedule for locations and available classes.

Our classes are held in 8-week terms. This accelerated pace is perfect for the busy professional balancing education with work and family. Unlike traditional students concentrating on four or more courses during a semester, adult learners in our programs focus on one or two courses in the accelerated 8-week term.

The University of the Incarnate Word is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Veterans and active-duty military members benefit from special rates and our Center for Veterans Affairs where staff are dedicated to helping you reach your educational goals. 

If you need a professional certification, we offer many professional training opportunities in occupations such as Pharmacy Technician, Personal Trainer, Paralegal and other related fields. Classes are added frequently so contact us for the latest offerings.

Brainpower Online is the Extended Academic Programs innovative initiative to provide free textbooks for all undergraduate students with no additional fees. Many of the textbooks are in electronic format, making them accessible and portable, using your laptop or eBook reading device.
